Dear Class of '78,
After last year's 30th, we decided that we would like to try to get together on an annual basis as long as there was interest.
We wanted to have something that was a little less formal and a lot less costly. The solution for us was to find a restaurant that could handle a group without charging us for a room.
We have made arrangements with Mi Casa of Lexington to reserve a room and bar area for us on Saturday, October 24th, 2009. They are located in the old Mr. Gatti's building on Talbert Blvd. All meals and drinks will be on you own, and hours are floating (6pm - until closing). There is more parking in front of the Forum Gym and a set of steps leading down. The bartender will be Rick Barnette.
The 24th is also the day of the BBQ Festival (
http://www.barbecuefestival.com/), so you can spend the day there and join us that evening.
Although we understand those out of state may have problems making an annual trip, those of us in town can surely give up one evening a year. Most everyone who came to the 30th had a good time and are glad they came. Don't miss out on another year.
It would help if you could let us know if you are planning on coming so we can alert the staff, or at least please let us know that you did receive the email so we can keep the address list current. This email is the only notice being sent as there's no funds for cards. A list of recipients is at the bottom, so if you don't see someone's name listed, please let them know the detail or send us an email address.
Hope to see you soon,
Kevin Beck
